What is DBT?
Developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, DBT is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy that blends mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. It’s especially effective for individuals who experience intense emotional responses and difficulty managing them in everyday life.
What You’ll Learn in DBT:
Mindfulness: Become more present and less reactive to emotions
Distress Tolerance: Cope with crises without making things worse
Emotion Regulation: Identify, understand, and manage intense feelings
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Build healthy relationships and boundaries
