MEET KATELYN
Katelyn Miller, LMSW
As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where children, adolescents, and young adults feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My experience includes working with adolescents in a school setting, where I provided social-emotional support, helped students navigate academic and peer-related challenges, and collaborated with families and school staff to promote overall well-being.
My approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are while fostering growth, confidence, and positive change. I am particularly interested in working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and interpersonal difficulties. I draw from evidence-based practices and am continuing to expand my knowledge and use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build up coping strategies and emotional regulation skills. Additionally, my experience working with children has sparked interest in play therapy as a developmentally appropriate way to support emotional expression and overall growth. My goal is to create a collaborative therapeutic experience that promotes hope, growth, and lasting well-being.
