MEET SARAH

Sarah Demilt, MHC-LP

Mental Health Counselor

Specialty: Play Therapy

I’m passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and their families as they navigate the unique challenges of growing up while learning to better understand themselves and each other. I believe that therapy can be a powerful space for young people to feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether they are navigating big emotions, changes, low self-esteem, anxiety, or stressors at home, in school, or in relationships, I am here to offer my support.

My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and flexibility. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strength-based approaches, and mindfulness. I also incorporate elements of play therapy to help children express themselves in age-appropriate and creative ways.

Every child and family is unique, and I strive to meet each client where they are. Whether we’re building coping skills, working through anxiety or mood challenges, or improving communication within the family system, I aim to create a safe and supportive space for growth.

Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m here to support you and your child with empathy, patience, and respect.
